Central to the shamanic journey, the drum is the spirit and the beater it its voice. Together they play a crucial role in facilitating trance states, connecting with spiritual realms, and aiding in healing ceremonies. Each beat of the drum you make carries your energy and we believe this can be enhanced by the tools you use.

At SpiritCraft we create handmade shamanic drum beaters that can drive your spiritual journey with it own energy. We carefully select wood for beater handles, connect the tip with a crystal and marry the handle to the beater head - the combination of all natural materials and colours create unique and special tools.

Our felted wool drum beaters are from locally sourced and dyed wools - we have a range inspired by the seasons, special events and by nature.

Leather and Suede beaters create a range of resonances from loud powerful ceremonial beats (leather) to softer sounds more suitable for smaller gatherings or inside use.

We intentionally keep or handles longer that the market average - this is so that it creates less strain on your wrist and shoulders.

Design Concept

At SpiritCraft, developing a shamanic drum beater is a journey for us.

We put all of our heart, soul and intention into every stage of the process, thinking about how the beater will fell in the hand, how it will look when drumming and how we can use different woods and crystals to charge the intention of each different beater that we make.

The felt beaters have a crystal core. The crystal is glued to the tip of the wood handle and then when the felt head is constructed the crystal is at the heart of the beater.

Each crystal is carefully chosen to reflect the energy of the wood and the design of the beater so the energies are complimentary.

The vibrations you create with your beater and drum have the crystals energy vibrations woven through.

Beater Types

Four different beaters - Fur, Leather, Felt and Suede

We make beaters from wool, leather, fur and suede.

The wool beaters can be a pure single colour, a beautiful swirled mixed colour or a specific designs.

Our Leather heads are made of high quality thichkleather which is hand stitched and turned inside out so the softer side is used. This creates a beater which is loud, deeply resonant but is gentle on the drum.

The Suede beater is a butter soft sheep-hide which is a gentle softer sound idea for indoor practice.
